Named after one of the oldest villages of Crete
The name Axos Shop comes from Axos, a traditional village in the Municipality of Mylopotamos, Rethymno. Axos is one of the oldest settlements of Crete, built on the slopes of the mythical Psiloritis mountain, in a land known for its fertile soil, rich history and hospitable people.
This connection inspired the identity of our shop. Just like the village itself, Axos Shop is rooted in authenticity, tradition and the natural abundance of Crete — an island that produces some of the finest ingredients of the Mediterranean diet: olive oil, honey, herbs, fruit, cheese and wine.
From the beginning, our vision was to create a place where visitors could experience Crete through its products. Not only as souvenirs, but as real pieces of local culture.
